The Trek Y 5 is a full-suspension mountain bike with an aluminum T6 / Fox Vanilla frame. The frame comes in purple or polished. It was first released in 1997 and again in 1998 for $1,299 brand new. Due to the frame materials and other factors, we estimate that this bike weighs around 35 pounds.

Components

The Y 5 comes with Mountain Mix and Shimano Deore LX/STX-RC components, including an aluminum, ICON Bontrager stem, a threadless, Aheadset Kontak SA-2 Tange-Seiki DX-2 headset and Shimano Deore LX RapidFire SL shifters.

The Answer Manitou Spyder R and Rock Shox Indy SL fork has a true suspension.
